Integrations
Does Roccai integrate with Klaviyo?
Yes. Roccai syncs guide respondents to Klaviyo as profiles using a private API key, optionally into a specific list. Guide answers are written to Klaviyo fields, so email and SMS flows can branch on what someone told you directly — including a first-time visitor with no browsing history to profile.
How the Klaviyo connection works
Klaviyo is excellent at acting on what someone browsed. Roccai tells it what someone said — which also works on a first visit.
Klaviyo needs a private API key, and optionally a list ID if you want respondents added to a particular list. Add them to the Klaviyo integration in Roccai, select the campaigns that should feed it, and pair each Roccai source field with the Klaviyo field it should populate.
Respondents sync as Klaviyo profiles, so they behave like any other profile: segmentable, flow-triggerable, and reachable over both email and SMS.
Klaviyo integration at a glance
| How it works | |
|---|---|
| What you need | A Klaviyo private API key |
| Optional | A list ID, if respondents should join a specific list |
| What Roccai creates | A Klaviyo profile — created, or updated where one already matches |
| Where the answers land | Klaviyo fields you choose in the mapping table |
| Scoping | Per campaign — you pick which campaigns feed Klaviyo |
| Timing | On guide submission, in real time |
What you can do with it
Solve the cold-start problem. Klaviyo's strength is behavioural data, which a first-time visitor has none of. A guide gives you their stated preferences on the first visit, so a flow has something real to work with.
Branch a flow on a declared preference rather than on an inferred one — what the person selected, not what a model guessed from two page views.
Use the same preference data across email and SMS, since it lives on the profile rather than in one campaign.
Keep segments honest as third-party tracking degrades: this is data the person handed you directly.
Frequently asked questions
How do I connect Roccai to Klaviyo?
Paste a Klaviyo private API key into the Klaviyo integration in Roccai, optionally add a list ID, choose which campaigns feed it, and map your Roccai fields to Klaviyo fields. Setup takes minutes and needs no developer.
Do Roccai respondents go into a specific Klaviyo list?
Only if you want them to. The list ID is optional: set it and respondents join that list, leave it empty and they sync as profiles without being added to a particular list.
Can I trigger a Klaviyo flow from a completed Roccai guide?
Yes. Profiles sync in real time as guides are submitted, so a flow can start while the person is still on the site — with their stated preferences already on the profile it is acting on.
Can Klaviyo segment on Roccai guide answers?
Yes. Answers are written to Klaviyo fields you choose in the mapping table, so Klaviyo's segment builder treats them like any other profile property rather than as an opaque attachment.
Does this help with first-time visitors who have no browsing history?
That is one of its strongest uses. Behavioural personalisation needs history a new visitor does not have. A Roccai guide collects stated preferences on the first visit, so Klaviyo can personalise from the start instead of waiting for a browse trail.
Other Roccai integrations
Roccai also connects natively to HubSpot, Ortto, Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign and Zapier & custom webhook. For the full list, the data that flows and the payload reference, see all Roccai integrations.
